Chicken curry

Delicious chicken curry goes well with plain boiled rice

Ingredients

2 large onions, 1 tablespoon oil, 3 large cardamoms, 12 pepper corn, 6 cloves, 6 garlic cloves, 2 inch piece ginger, 1/2 kg boneless chicken, 4 large tomatoes, 2 green chilies, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 4 teaspoons chicken masala.

Method

Take 2 large onions and grind them. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a karhi. When the oil is hot add 3 large cardamoms, 2 inch piece of cinnamon, 12 pepper corn, and 6 cloves. Add the onion paste to this. Fry till light brown. In the meanwhile make a paste of 10 cloves of garlic a 2 inch piece of ginger. Once the onion paste is light brown add ginger garlic paste to it and fry it for 2 minutes. Now add half kg boneless chicken pieces to the karhi. Mix them together and let cook at low heat till chicken pieces are tender. Now grind 4 large tomatoes and 2 green chilies. Add the pureed tomatoes to the almost done chicken pieces. Add salt to taste, one teaspoon turmeric powder and 4 teaspoons of chicken masala to the same. Let it cook till the oil separates in the gravy. Add two cups of warm water to make the gravy. Let it come to a boil and serve hot.
