Cream Kofta Curry

Ingredients

Ingredients (Cream Koftas): 7 raw bananas, 2 teaspoons salt, 1 1/2 teaspoons huldi (for boiling bananas), 2 teaspoons ground fresh ginger, 3 teaspoons chopped coriander leaves, 6 teaspoons dry bread crumbs, 115 grams khoya, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, 4 green cardamoms, 10 peeled almonds, 1/2 teaspoon ground spices. Ingredients (Gravy): 1/4 kg onions, 12 garlic flakes, small pieces of coconut, 30 grams ginger, 1 teaspoon turmeric, 60 grams tomatoes, 2 teaspoons chopped coriander leaves, 1 1/2 teaspoons red chilli powder, 4 teaspoons ground spices, crushed green cardamoms, salt to taste, 5 tablespoons ghee, 2 teaspoons white cumin seeds.

Method

Method for Cream Koftas: Cut bananas into four pieces without peeling. Mix huldi and salt in water and then boil banana pieces in it until tender. Cool it, peel and then mash it and in it mix chopped coriander leaves, ginger, dry bread crumbs, salt and ground spices. Mix in khoya, ground nutmeg, green cardamoms, almonds and a little mixture of mashed bananas, make small balls of khoya mixture and fill in banana mixture and then make a shape of koftas. Dust with flour, Fry in ghee until brown in color. Method (Gravy): Fry chopped onion and garlic till light brown. Add salt, red chilli powder and cook till onion browns. Add chopped tomatoes, ground ginger, ground coconut, ground white cumin seeds and ground spices and stir it until it becomes thick gravy. Add 3 cups of water and cook for 15 minutes. Now add fried koftas and cook it until soft. Sprinkle chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot at dinner or lunch.
