Aloo Methi

Traditional Indian main course vegetable dish. Aloo Methi translates to Potatoes Spinach in English.

Ingredients

1 kg spinach, 340 grams potatoes, 1/2 teacup ghee, 1/2 teacup curd, 1 teaspoon ground red chilli, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, salt to taste, 1 teaspoon ground spices

Method

Peel and cut potatoes into small pieces and deep fry in ghee until light brown. Was and chop spinach. Heat ghee, add turmeric, spinach, red chilli powder and salt and cook on medium fire until dry. Add fried potatoes and curd. Stir it on slow fire until it leaves the sides of pan clear. Mix ground spices. Serve hot at lunch or dinner.
