Chocolate pudding

1/2 cup white sugar,
3 tsp cocoa,
1/4 cup cornstarch,
2 3/4 cups milk,
2 tsp butter,
1 tsp vanilla extract
1. In a saucepan stir together, cocoa, sugar and cornstarch
2. Place over medium heat and stir in milk
3. Bring to a boil and cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens enough to coat the back of a metal spoon
4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla
