Brazilian flan

Ingredients

1/2 cups sugar-add sufficient water to dissolve, 1 tin (400 grams) condensed milk, 400 gram milk (same quantity as condensed milk), 2 teaspoon /eggs - custard powder, 2 teaspoon vanilla essence

Method

Pre-heat oven at 180 degrees. Put sugar and water in a pan and only then switch on the gas, to caramelize it. Pour condensed milk in a bowl. Add some amount of milk to it. Add 2 eggs/ custard powder after dissolving it in a bowl. Mix them together but do not beat. Pour the caramel in bowls. Let it sit then add the mixture. Bake for 90 min. Remember the top should be jiggly and not firm. Remove instantly. To remove put the tin in warm water and turn it upside down.
