French toast

6 sliced thick cut bread
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk or cream
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
pinch of salt
splash of vanilla extract
butter and vegetable oil for cooking
Crack in two large eggs in a bowl. Whisk them. Add 1/4 cup of milk or cream, one teaspoon of granulated sugar, a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon, a pinch of salt and quick splash of vanilla. Whisk all the ingredients together till the egg are smooth. Use a frying pan on medium high heat add a teaspoon each of vegetable oil and butter. Heat till the milk solids in the butter start to brown. Dunk the bread pieces quickly on either side and place it on in the pan with a light coat on either side. Cook on either side and serve. Keep adding a little more butter and vegetable oil in between each toast.
