Reshmi Paneer Tikka

Ingredients

• 500gm paneer- cut into 1 ½” squares, about ¾” thick • 1cup thick curd – hung in a muslin cloth for 15 minutes • 4 tbsp thick cream • 1tbsp oil • 1tsp garlic paste or 8-10 flakes garlic –crushed • 1 ½ tsp ginger paste or 1 ½ piece ginger –crushed to a paste • ½ tsp kala namak (rock salt) • 1tsp amchoor powder • 1tsp tandoori masala • ½ -1 tsp red chilli powder • ¾ tsp salt ,or to taste • 2 pinches haldi

Method

Cut paneer into thick, 1 ½ “ square pieces. Mix hung curd, ginger & garlic paste ,kala namak, amchoor , tandoori masala, red chili powder, salt & a little haldi, cream and oil . Mix well. Add paneer, marinate for 1-2 hours or till serving time. At serving time , place paneer pieces on a plate in a single layer . Micro high uncovered for 4 minutes. Turn over the paneer pieces & again micro high uncovered for 2 minutes. Serve hot. Note: Whenever making any tikkas always add amchoor powder as it soaks up the water.
